Gruyere & Montreux

Today we visited a cheese factory in the mountainous town of Gruyere and the old town it is near as well as took a scenic train journey to the lakeside Montreux. With a lovely walk along a blooming foreshore we arrived at the Chateau de Chillon, a castle built in the 12th centuary.

As always--gorgeous pics.

That cheese looks awfully good, and Switzerland is definitely a place I'd love to visit someday.

My wife, Liesl, says it was her favorite part of Europe when she was there.

I got a bit obsessed with the old windows at Chateau de Chillon and took heaps of photos (before digital cameras were common!). Hope you loved it too.
