Having been terribly slack with updating this blog there haven't been any entries for the last 7 months (well actually it has been 13 months but I am updating some in retrospect).
Settling into Canberra we have bought a unit, a cat, bikes (my beautiful pink 1980’s Malvern Star – Esprit, my one and only purchase on Ebay, decked with my chick and useful panier) and love cycling to and from work and around the lake on the weekends. We made the most of being close to the Snowy Mountains and went snowboarding a couple of times with some quality new friends, Luke and Krystal. We played in a mixed basketball comp for term and towards the end of the year we took up Ultimate Frisbee which we play just down the road – a good run in a friendly competition and fun learning a new sport. Had a lovely Wednesday morning bike and breakie ritual before work with Nichola. We made the most of being 'close' to family and friends and went north and visited them on weekends and visa versa. North included Tam's 30th and Finley's 1st, Jo passing through from PNG, Lillian and Deryl passing through from the USA and seeing Cheryl and gorgeous Penina in Brisbane and catching up with my highschool friends having been 10 years since we finished. This included spending some cherished days with Sharlene and little Benson. In Canberra it included bikerides, Floriade and farmers' market with Rachelle, Kinstoning it with Nadine & fam, seeing Stu, Catherine & new little Samantha, catching up with Brett and my family including appreciating mum and dad coming down numerous times and making some good additions to the unit, going for walks and mum's yummy home cooked curries - they're not only good for company!! Highlight would have to be going to the snow with Leon, Tam, Willow and Finley for their first time and making Willow's first snowman with her.
That’s the last 7 months – summarised!

our unit - plain on the outside, cosy on the inside!
he's was so cute we agreed to take him straight away
great to catch up with a friend we had made in El Salvador, Lillian, and her new husband Deryl
"Aunty Bec, I want to hold Kashmir!", says Willow (innumerable times).
One year old Finely trying to convince her mum that it would be better to taste a freckle before waiting for a candle with her sister Willow thinking that's a little fu-nny
Catching a close ARL game with Jo, along with Richard, his dad and Brenton for good company

Finley wonders how normal it is to have this many layers of clothes on just to sit on the cold ground
I'll never forget Willow's first exclamation as she held snow for the first time, "This is WON-DER-FUL!!"
Tam and Leon even remembered to bring a carrot 6 hours from home down to the snow!
Stu, Catherine and Samantha
What am I going to do without Nichola's smiling face on Wednesday mornings now that her and Rowan have moved to the kings river in Deutschland?
